Project Description
State of the Art Hair Removal Technology
Lasers have been widely used in aesthetic medicine for over a decade. More recently, techniques have been developed specifically for cosmetic use such as hair removal. The technology in this area has continued to be refined. The light sheer diode laser used at Glow Aesthetic Medicine is a third generation, state of the art system. Laser hair removal safely, effectively, and reliably rids you of unwanted hair and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth without waxing or shaving.
Is laser hair removal right for you? Call today.
- Hair’s active growth phase is called anagen. During anagen, the hair contains an abundance of melanin.
- Catagen is the regression phase when the lower part of the hair stops growing but is not shed, and the follicle is reabsorbed.
- The resting phase is called telogen, during which the old hair falls out in preparation for the development of new hair.
At Glow Aesthetic Medicine, laser hair removal treatments are done in packages to insure the treatment of the hair in its active growth cycle. Often 3 to 6 treatments are recommended. These sessions are done approximately 4 to 8 weeks apart depending on the area of the body being treated and on your skin and hair type. Specific recommendations appropriate for your skin type and your particular needs are made for you at the time of your consultation. Learn more about Glow and our aesthetic treatments and procedures.
